Quick and Easy Recipe for how to make French toast without eggs

The issue is the French toast I am so reluctant to order in diners or restaurants... The reason? Most often it has an overpowering egg smell. Despite my location in the egg column, I hate severely eggy-smelling dishes that contain eggs. I remember that sounds ridiculous but that’s just how I came up with how to make French toast without eggs.

Ingredients for Eggless French Toast:

How to make French toast without eggs with cinnamon & cardamom? The flaxseed meal helps give it an "egg-like consistency" and along with the milk added, these work together to absorb flavors into the bread without making it too soggy. The milk mixture includes cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg (plus a little rose essence if you like).

To get ready, soak the French brioche bread in the milk recipe simply touch it and afterward with an extensive pill of margarine. I like to use salted butter as it makes the bread not so overly sweet and brings out its natural sweetness. Believe me, the difference in taste is so rich because of this small detail.

This simple eggless French toast is perfect for a cozy weekend brunch. Serve it with milk or coffee. Personally, I prefer something savory and spicy - this balances out all of the sweetness.

Step-by-Step Guide for how to make french toast without eggs:

Course: Breakfast

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 3 slices of toast

Ingredients:

3 slices French Brioche Bread (I like Trader Joe's but they also have a vegan one!) You can make the recipe WITHOUT EGGS (Just use Sara Lee Artesano brioche or potato bread!!)

¾ cup milk (organic whole or alternative plant-based milk)

1 tbsp Flaxseed Meal (powdered flaxseed)

- ¼ tsp Cinnamon Powder

- ⅛ tsp Cardamom Powder

- 1 pinch of Nutmeg Powder

- 1 pinch Salt

- 1 tsp Brown Sugar

- 1-3 tbsp Salted Butter

Garnishing:

- 1 cup Fresh Berries

- 2-3 tbsp Maple Syrup

- 2 tsp Powdered Sugar

- Whipped Cream

Instructions:

1. Take a broad bowl or plate and mix, milk, flaxseed meal, elaichi powder, cinnamon powder., nutmeg powder, salt, brown sugar & rose essence.

2. Pour some butter into a pan over medium fire.

3. Take each slice of French brioche bread and, one at a time, dip it into the milk for 3-4 seconds depending on how much they have been soaked in then flip to soak the other side.

4. Place the soaked sandwich onto a warm, buttered pan and cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until it turns golden brown.

5. Turn the bread over and cook for another minute. If you prefer it with a slightly crisper exterior and deeper browning, cook for just a little longer on medium heat. Inside will be soft as the brioche bread naturally has a very good tenderness to itself.

6. When pieces are cooked, stack the slices on a plate. Top with fresh berries, whipped cream, and a dusting of icing sugar along with plenty of maple syrup. Prefer it warm, accompanied by a glass of milk or coffee!
